I got myself a new carseat!

Can't wait to use it properly. It's bigger than the old one, it seats me up higher and most importantly it's front-facing!! I should be able to see my surroundings better now.

Thank you God.

birthday post

Oh noes. I'm way too young to be an uncle. And now I'm uncle to not one but four kids. And two of them are older than me!

There's Aisyah. She's my cousin Kak Yong's daughter and she's two years plus now. I'm always unsure what to call her when I see her. I can't call her Kak Aisyah since she's technically my niece but it feels rather awkward just calling her by her name.

Now Aisyah has her own little baby brother, Aiman, not yet one week old, and I haven't seen him yet. And then there is Iman, she's my cousin Kak Farah's 5-yr-old son. I'm his uncle, too and there's also one new baby girl who's Kak Jaja's ( another cousin ) newly arrived daughter.

So, four nephews and nieces and I only turned one less than a month ago!

Speaking of birthdays, mine turned out to be a non-event. I've heard the words 'party' and 'presents' being spoken but yes, nada. Apparrently I'm too young to understand what a party is and too young to appreciate presents. O-kaaaaay. Right.

*sighs*

Maybe next year.

But the family did sing me birthday songs that day. Repeatedly. Many, many times. I love it, very much. I clapped and laughed and I made them clap and laugh, too! That was fun. Here's a vid of my family singing one to me. That was the zililonth time, btw, and the novelty has worn off quite a bit. Still enjoyable, though :D

And on the development front, I can stand on my own now! Still can't walk though. I'm not quite sure what to do with my legs after I heave myself upright so after a few seconds I'd just plonk myself down on whatever is in front of me, and usually the family would hurry to put plenty of cushions around me whenever I stand up. Yay for soft landings!
