Of crawling and nicknames.

As promised, here's the clip of me crawling commando style. I'm crawling the 'proper' way now, though. But I must say I moved faster in the old way!



And yes, I was very excited that day. It's not everyday that you could see the sea through a glass-pane on the floor :)

Btw, Abg Luqman likes to call me Dotty nowadays. I have no idea why. I just hope that I won't get stuck with that name. It's cute. Now. But to be called Dotty later on? Not very ... dignified.

But then, Abg Anwar likes to call him all sorts of names - The Licks, Digi-Man, Taisho-Man ( wth? ), Stick-man, Lukie. I'm lucky with just Dotty, so far.

Up and About

Okay. So I'm not as fond of my walker now as I was before. You see, I can do a lot of things on my own now. No, no, don't get too excited. I can't walk yet. But I can pull myself up to stand. Quite easily, too, if I may say so. I can also sit on my own and I can crawl properly now. Though I still do the commando-crawl if I want to get somewhere fast. For those who do not know what "commando-crawling" is all about, I'll put up a video-clip of me doing that on my next post.

My Mum thinks that I'm not gaining much weight and she's a bit worried. But hey, all the crawlings about the house, so much to see, so much to touch and smell and taste ( yucks, I almost put a beetle inside my mouth the other day ) - all those burn energy, you know. Luckily I still like to eat. I'm not very finicky when it comes to eating, not yet anyway.

But ah, I still like to be carried. It's a wonderful feeling, to be held up high, safe and snug in the arms of the adults and the not-so-adults. It makes me feel safe. And loved.

The One Tooth

I have three teeth now. One is absolutely HUGE and sits on my upper gum. Never fails to draw on the "aaahs" and "ooohs" from my many admirers. And the yelps too, of course, when I bit on curious fingers. Hard.

*cackles*

But anyway, nothing beats those admiring coos I received when I only have one tooth. And I dare say that I looked kind of cool with that One Tooth!
